D.C. Sleeps Alone Tonight

My mom lives in Baltimore. I want to call her right now and tell her all about how I am tired, but I can't sleep. And hungry, but I can't eat. It's only 6:30 AM there. I'll wait 30 minutes.

Momma went to the Inauguration of Barack Obama. She said it was cold, but wonderful. She also said there were snipers on the roof of the Smithsonian. Weird. I remember that it was the first day of my first class of a new semester. I skipped the class and sat in my car, on the top floor of the parking garage, and listened to NPR to hear the speech. I thought it was great.

I must confess I am a little disappointed. I think a lot of people are. More contracts with Blackwater?? Cool.

And health care. I really want socialized health care. Not because I want to "win," but because it is sooooo necessary. There are two major problems. First, campaign financing. No one wants to cut out Pharmaceuticals because they give a LOT of money.

Reform you say? Well the Supreme Court were all like, "hey, its chill with us."

Next problem: Balls. I said it. Stop giving in. Stand up and be liberal dammit. The people who don't like this are all old, and they are dying. This isn't for them, its for us.

This is my country now, Suckas!

Socialism and communism are not the same thing. Look it up. Socialism is characterized by a willingness to work with the current system of government. So, by definition it is impossible to "ruin this country" with socialism.

And stop whining about taxes. You DO have representation, idiots. Just because it wasn't the person you picked doesn't mean you aren't represented. Its called majority rules democracy. Suck it up.

And further, this country was not set up to be able to handle more than 2 parties. I will support 3rd party candidates sometimes, but unless the constitution is amended to allow for plurality instead of majority, two parties is it.

Putting my education to good use.

Also, read the constitution sometime. Its good.
