Due to an administrative error, 4 of my five classes are scored as fails. I might have actually failed one of them, but we'll see. Also, instructors apparently don't answer email during the summer, so it is a waiting game.
Leo got mauled. In front of me. Scarred. For. Life.
I got caught crying in public today. I mean, I hate crying in public anyway, but when you sit on a "lonely" bench and cry your heart out, you don't expect to see a shocked look on the person sitting behind you, eating his lunch peacefully. Sorry dude, whoever you are. I hope I didn't ruin your peaceful lunch.
I felt so much less anonymous, even though I had never seen this person before.
Still no pictures :(
I thought May was supposed to bring out all the lovelorn wanderers. Missed connections sucks lately. Did people stop feeling or what?
On that note, I totally want to write one, just as a joke, to see if I got responses. That takes guts though, even to post a fake one. Imagine if someone found you out! eek! Imagine if you posted a real one and got caught!!!! EEEK! I couldn't do it. I don't have a missed connection anyway, but even if I did...
What if someone wrote a heartfelt message and then got a reply saying "yeah, I think you're pretty lame."? How embarrassing!
I shouldn't make so much fun of the people who write them. It takes more balls than I have, figuratively speaking.
I actually responded to one once, not because it was about me, but because I thought it was so sweet and honest (and well written too!) that I wanted to tell that person that he/she made my day. I also said I hoped they found what they sought. I never heard back if he/she did, and the next day the post was down :( But maybe I brightened someone's day!
I hope I brightened yours, even though the beginning of this post was a bit sullen. Here is something to cheer you up!
My two favorite characters from "Labyrinth," Sir Didymus and Ambrosious!
ALSO!!!! I am reading The Wordy Shipmates by Sarah Vowell. It is hilarious!! And its about history!! I love it.
