Missed Connections Pt. 3

Grammar is kind of a big deal for me. It makes people nuts, but I am constantly correcting grammar. So reading what other people write can sometimes be hard. Anyway, I obsessively read missed connections. Some people are idiots. Even if I thought some of those letters were for me I wouldn't answer.

Someone kept repeatedly referring to a woman as "pritty." That might be the ugliest word I have ever seen.

Someone else worried about having "waisted" someone's time. Trust me sweetie, you did.

Lately the missed connections have been lame. Along the lines of:

Sup grl u lookin fine. Saw u at strbux drinkin cofee.

So yeah.

It extends into other aspects of Craigslist as well. While reading an advertisement for an apartment, someone noted that they "excepted small dogs."

That's just plain confusing.

It is so important people know what they are talking about. If you don't really know what that 4 syllable word means, don't use it.

Which is why I laughed when I saw this response on Missed Connections:

I'm sorry to say this, man, but several of the words in your post don't mean what you apparently think they mean. If you're going to wax poetic, you might want to consider using words you're more familiar with, or possibly using a dictionary.

Also, this made me laugh today.
