I forgot I was supposed to recount my Mexican Birthday adventure.
One of Cass's co workers has a grandson. This grandson was turning 3 years old. He invited everyone he knew to this party. It was held at Kennedy Park, which is right by my house (ghetto styyyyyyle). There was a jumping castle with a slide. WITH.A.SLIDE. It was awesome. There were about 400 people there. No but seriously, there was at least 100 people at this party. All the kids hung out in the jumping castle. About every 45 minutes the air would go out and the whole thing would collapse into a mess of screaming children. Then it would re-inflate and all the kids would hop back in again. Kids are resilient.
The best part: Homemade barbacoa. It was delicious. I don't have pictures because my camera is stupid and dies all the time.
Saturday was perfect weather. Absolutely beautiful.
Today I went to the book fair. Cass and Corinne hated it, but I was in Heaven. I was nose deep in used books when I was told we had to leave. I pouted, but relented.
There is always time for books.
Tomorrow: My thoughts on being so totally hip.
Or later tonight. It depends on whether or not I can sleep. My bet is not.
